Excavations of Ostia Antica

The Excavations of Ostia Antica correspond to the oldest colony by the Tiber mouth. They represent the centre of the ancient world… a piece of history that goes from the I century BC to the IV century AC!
The sightseeing tour of the excavations, walking along the “Decumano Massimo” (the main and central road in the roman age), from Porta Romana to Porta Marina, develops in a maze of wonderful roman remains – virtually untouched - and lush vegetation.

Entrance:
April – September 09.00 – 19.00
October and March 09.00 – 18.00
November – February 09.00 – 17.00
Closed on Monday, and on 1st January, 1st May, 25th December.
The ticket, which includes the entrance to the inner Museum, is 6,50 €.
It is free for members of the EU under 18 and over 65, and reduced for young people (18 - 25 year).

Note:
In summer the ancient theatre, in the centre of Ostia Antica, is venue of several shows.
