Necropolis of Porto

The Nercopolis of Porto constitutes a part of the wide cemetery of the ancient town of Portus; it was considered a sort of showcase for tombs, built for demonstrating the social status of the dead person to those who walked along the road. There are many buildings, even two floors structures, with precious insides decorated with paintings, stuccoes and mosaics.

The entrance is free and is possible every last Thursday and Saturday of the month: - January/February 9:00 – 16:00, March 9:00 – 17:00, April/October 9:00 – 18:00 - November/December 9:00 – 16:00
